AMMOBrugge, Belgium
www.metarc.com Comprised of metal slapping kicks, off - kilter breaks, and a scatter shot of haunting noises, AMMO is anything but predictable. While the band takes it's cues from scene favorites like Decoder and technical Itch, they quickly stray into their own stylistic weirdness of distorted beats and ambient chaos. Each track is thick with texturing, whole aural landscapes slowly build around deep, gritty bass lines and syncopated steps. Although best known for their work as Xingu Hill, the Ammo duo - John Sellekaers and C-Dirk - are a prolific pair. With too many projects to even list, their combine discography includes everything from ambient soundscapes, to experimental noise, to abstract IDM. |

APARATSRiga
The band APARATS was founded in the September of 2000 and consists of six young musicians. The leading member as well as the author of the most of their songs is Peter Helms, who is originally from Denmark but is currently living in Latvia and studying at the Latvian Academy of Music. The style of APARATS is hard to define, because each song is different - from reggae to rock. Top |
